Stephanie E. Toney, MBA

Stephanie is an accomplished market access, reimbursement and value professional. Stephanie has developed and executed on strategies for medical device solutions at all stages, from assessing novel technologies and other due diligence efforts, launching commercialized products throughout the product life cycle, and obtaining coverage and payment for devices in pre-market clinical trials.

Stephanie is a strong advocate for market access and reimbursement as a key driver for early-stage strategic innovation success, understanding its interplay with other functional strategies (e.g., R&D, Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, and Regulatory Affairs). Stephanie is adept at translating and interpreting market access and reimbursement fundamental concepts for different audiences. Leveraging her deep understanding, Stephanie has been chosen to speak at several events focused on educating the MedTech stakeholder ecosystem, including C-Suite executives, MedTech company founders, hospital personnel and entrepreneurs. Stephanie is a Stanford University Biodesign Innovation Fellow, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an MBA in marketing, and Tulane University with a BSM in finance.

Scott McCaig, PhD

Scott is a seasoned leader in orthopedics and spine, with over two decades of experience spanning product management, marketing, M&A, and commercialization. He thrives at the intersection of marketing and R&D, consistently identifying unmet needs and transforming them into high-impact medical technologies.

Scott began his career at Smith+Nephew, launching the REFLECTION Ceramic Hip and contributing to the R3 acetabular cup system, later expanding into spine with Medtronic and leading Wright Medical’s total knee business. His passion for innovation and strategic growth led to impactful roles in digital health and M&A, culminating in the launch of ARIA, Smith+Nephew’s first patient-facing app. Currently, Scott is serving as CTO at Exodus New Ventures and is leading one of the portfolio companies, Orthopedic Driven Imaging, where he’s advancing intra-op fluoroscopy into 3D imaging for musculoskeletal applications. Scott holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, an MS in Bioengineering from Clemson, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.

A former in-house General Counsel and NASA aerospace engineer, Suzy now focuses her legal practice on technology transactions—including SaaS agreements, software licensing, data privacy, and cybersecurity—as well as trademark and intellectual property matters.

She also advises companies as outsourced general counsel on a wide range of business issues. Suzy serves on the Board of the Frontiers of Flight Museum and is involved in startups developing robotic innovations in pet care and road safety.
